Arriving on a sunny day enabled us to see what it would be like in full sun, and the shadows cast by the lettering make it very legible.

Our house signs have arrived amid much excitement and we are delighted with them! I absolutely love the autumn sandstone and I can't wait to see them in situ (maybe this weekend). Also, thanks to your efficient service we are able to keep the builders happy--and hopefully on schedule as they construct my annex (The Orangery) which is attached to my daughter and family's house (Saffron House) where I currently reside.

I am sorry I did not reply earlier but I have had a dreaded virus and not been able to do anything for over a week. Anyway I can't thank you enough for the engraved house sign plaque, when it arrived it was better than I had imagined. I had bought it for my partner David who had just gained planning permission to build a house on our farm; this is why I wanted it for Christmas (it came well in time too.) I just wanted to say your service and quality of workmanship is second to none and if in the future I need anything else I will be back in touch. Many thanks again...

Not only did you cope with our prevarications and delays, but you also
had the snow for couriers to contend with. It arrived, I hear, on
Tuesday 21st December and looks absolutely fabulous. Both Lindsey and

"DUCK FAMILY" SANDSTONE HOUSE SIGN
The original idea for this house sign was for a large sandstone
sign featuring just one duck to reflect the name of the house.
Somehow the design evolved to include an entire family of ducks!
One duck to represent each human member of the household, Mum Dad and the two little ducklings.
Oops, I mean the two children!
Lovely idea, and delightfully quackers!
"HUNTERS LODGE" YORKSTONE HOUSE SIGN
The owners of this house clearly wanted a sign to reflect the name and character of the lodge.
This was a large yorkstone sign designed to be built into new brick gate pillars.
Helen sent several design options, some with the hunter in shooting position.
She also offered a choice of different breeds gun dogs!
Including a Spaniel sitting, and a Pointer pointing!.
The customer chose this version with a Retriever motif.
"THE HAVEN" GRANITE HOUSE SIGN
This customer had very special requirements.
The unusual and unique horse galloping motif engraved in-relief emphasises the home owners passion for breeding horses.
The initials also engraved in-relief and set alongside in the oval panel are a tribute to a very special individual.
The shaped of the top to the sign matched architectural features on the main buildings.
The customer chose granite for it's quality and amazing hard wearing properties.
All in all, a classic distinctive and very personal house sign.
"KILLMOREY HOUSE" GREY SLATE HOUSE SIGN
Large house sign in grey Welsh slate.
Another sign reflecting the home owners passion for horses.
The customer liked the rockborder on our york stone signs and wanted in-relief letttering.
But preferred the colour and texture of slate.
This house sign had to be fitted to the face of an existing wall, hence the drill holes.
The unique horse bust motif was chosen from our standard catalogue of designs.
"STICKY WICKETS" SAND STONE HOUSE SIGN
This was a gift for a cricket crazy husband - for a home with an unusual and cheerful house name!
We created this image of a set of decidedly sticky wickets just for this customer. In this case the motif inscised and painted.
The image perfectly suited the character of this house sign.
We have used similar ideas on a variety of slate granite and stone signs, with appropriate house names,
Including, "Cover Point" "Fielders" and "Silly Mid On"!
"GOLFER RETURNING HOME" SLATE HOUSE SIGN
It is quite easy to personalise any of our standard size house signs with just the simple addition of an appropriate motif.
This slate house sign was ordered as a gift for a golf crazy husband from his long suffering wife!
This "Golfer returning home" is - like most of our designs - unique to us, and is part of our motifs collection.

"WELLS LANE" SLATE HOUSE SIGN
This house sign shows you don't need a fancy house name to have a top class house sign.
This was one of a pair designed to be built into impressive new brick gate pillars either side of the driveway.
Because of the shape and size of the pillars we opted for this portrait style layout.
The sign is bigger than it looks, about 24 inches high.
The sign is from Welsh slate and carved in relief so no long term maintanance issues
You can seee from this photo that even though unpainted, the number and street name is perfectly ledgible.
"HIPPO'S GALORE" YORK STONE HOUSE SIGN
There is no law saying that House signs need to be serious.
By including a theme you and your family are fond of, you can display your sense of fun and joy to the world!
We created the Hippo image especially for this customer, it is now now available as standard in our motifs catalogue
This sign was made from Yorkstone, the house name inscised into the face of an oval panel, the hippo's engraved in relief into the rockborder edge.
We enjoy this type of project, it's great fun working on unusual ideas!
