HOUSE SIGNS IN GRANITE:
House signs made from granite will by their very nature be tough and durable. Granite is an extremely hard naturally occuring rock, normally finished to a very high polish. The granite itself is almost impervious to wear and tear being resistant to weather erosian and damage from abrasion as most granites are very hard to scratch.
We use black granites for our house signs, for most of our signs the lettering and motifs are carved out "in relief" leaving the highly polished engraving standing proud and the background a light grey natural granite finish. When left unpainted this type house signs will last for a lifetime with only an occasional cleaning!

HOUSE SIGNS IN SLATE:
House signs and house numbers made from slate will have a honed or eggshell finish. Our green and black slate signs are made from Brazilian slate selected for their hard wearing qualities and attractive rich colours. These slates make house signs both hard wearing and attractively natural looking.

Yorkstone as the name suggests is a natural stone quarried in Yorkhire. Available in various colours from buff to blue, we make our house signs and house numbers using the buff colour stone.

Welsh slate house sgns are tough weatherproof and have that natural look that is so important. Available in dark grey or grey/green welsh slate is a naturally quaried stone from Wales, used widely in the building trade and though expensive it is considered te best slate for roofing tiles. That says a lot about the hard wearing quality of this slate making it an ideal material for house signs.

Marble is simply a natural limestone that will polish, not many people know that! There are no British marbles being commercially quarried any more so all marbles avaiable now come from foreign parts! The range of colours and variations in colour and in natural veining are vast. and the marbles we offer for our house signs will largely depend on availability. Generally speaking marble house signs are hard wearing though will suffer from weathering over the years.
