Indian Sandstone for House Signs
Indian Sandstones are a new addition to the stock of world stones.
Originating from india in recent years the use of these stones for house signs is relatively new. Indian Sandstone are available in a wide range of colours and with a variation of character. Indian Sandstone are very tight grained, extremely hard, and highly resistant to extremes of weather and wear.
Indian Sandstone is relatively free from mineral impurities, fossilised shell and veining and mineral discolouration. However care must be taken in choosing the right type of stone for use in house sign manufacture.
If chosen well, Indian Sandstone is a superb material for house signs, it will engrave and cut beautifully using any method, and is suitable for both inscised and raised in relief lettering.
Indian Sandstone is available in various colours , including cream buff red and sand. Though genuine sandstones they can be difficult to work due to the hardness of the stone. They usually engrave with very sharp definition. Indian Sandstone is a superb stone for engraving and makes excellent house signs and plaques.
