Originating in the english county Yorkshire. Normally available in sand yellow, tan, khaki and grey, yorkstones are tight grained, hard, and highly resistant to extremes of weather and wear.
Yorkstone is relatively free from mineral impurities, fossilised shell and veining and mineral discolouration.
