This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you.

We are a small UK company and not part of a larger group. Only two individuals have access to our files.

We do not collect or store or share any sensitive information, and keep our data collection to an absolute minimum. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Any information will only be used in the ways described in this privacy policy

THE INFORMATION WE DO COLLECT.

We only collect and store the information we require to supply you with a quotation and draft drawings and/or to fully expedite your order.

If you are making a general enquiry about our products or require a quotation :

Your Name.

Your email address.

Telephone number (only if you choose to give it to us.)

Your address (only if you have chosen, at this stage, to give it to us)

As quotations may be a small part of a much larger project hold this data for up to 5 years

Artwork and Drawings will be held on file indefinitely. (we do get customers wanting to order or re-order years later.)

If you place an order with us:

Your Name.

Your address.

Your work address (only if you decide this will be the delivery address.) or any other delivery address you give us.

Your telephone number. (We do require this for the carrier.)

If you pay by cheque your bank account details are printed on the cheque. We do not store this information and it does not appear on our bank statements.

If you pay by bank transfer, the name of the account you pay from appears on our Bank statement, no other details are available to us.

We are obliged by HMRC to keep this information for a minimum of seven years. In practice we will keep this information on our account files indefinitely as HMRC have been known to indulge in back-tracking over decades.

INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT.

We do not collect, view, store or have access to, any of your sensitive financial details. All online credit card transactions are through a third party provider – Paypal.

COOKIES

We use a google analytics cookie on our website and all our online systems to record website usage. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone, we do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting any of our websites, and we do not share this information with anyone.

We do not use any other cookies on our website.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH:

Third-Party Service Providers: We share your Name and address and phone number with Carrier companies or the Post office to effect delivery of your order.

We may be required by law to disclose your information to official government bodies, for example HMRC the police etc.

We do not share or sell your information with any other third party unless specifically requested by you to do so in order to successfully process your order .

SECURITY AND DATA RETENTION

We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

ACCESSING AND UPDATING

You are entitled to see the information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. If you wish to do this, please contact us at stoneengravings@btconnect.com.

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

As entitled by law we may charge a fee of up to £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Any changes to our privacy policy in the future will be posted to the website and, where appropriate, through e-mail notification.
